We have committed to a Mandate to bring the Message of Faith, the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and the Power of the Holy Spirit to a lost and dying world. The Mandate started with one man, but it now lies with many, many thousands, upon thousands of people across the entire Earth. There is a weight to this mandate and there are responsibilities that come along with it. When you take hold of it, you can’t just act any old way you want to act or do any old thing you want to do. It’s not just a job or a position, but a divine calling we are given as part of RHEMA.
Some thoughts about this weight:
1. Love
1 Peter 4:7-8 (NLT); Colossians 3:12-14 (TPT)
Love is the mark of true maturity.
Correction without love leads to rejection.
Correction with love leads to transformation.
This is not just toward sinners, but fellow believers.
We are to be unoffendable and not quick to judge.
Christ-like leadership gives grace.
2. Spirit-Led
Galatians 5:25; John 14-16
Success comes in the Holy Spirit's leading, not in relying on natural strategies.
Like a baseball coach guiding runners, the Holy Spirit directs our steps.
Our obedience today impacts people in the future.
3. Purity not Performance
Matthew 5:8; 1 Samuel 15:24; 1 Samuel 16:7
And purity not perfection. It’s a matter of the heart.
King Saul’s focus on people-pleasing led to disobedience.
Let’s do all the plan, not just part of the plan.
God looks at the heart, not outward appearance.
Like David, we should run to God and repent when we mess up.
We need to do regular heart check ups.
Completely surrender to His will and His way.
4. Relating to Younger Generations
Acts 16:1-2; 2 Timothy 3:10-14; 1 Timothy 4:11-16
If we want to impact the future, we have to build bridges, not walls.
Like Paul mentored Timothy, we need to invest in younger people.
We need generations working together.
Moving Forward Together
We are seeing an incredible move of God among our young people who are hungry for authentic encounters with Him. As we press forward, let us commit to:
Create mentorship opportunities to develop next-generation leaders
Find your Timothy and give someone a chance.
Maintain the purity of the message and demonstration of the Holy Spirit.
Be open to new methods or formats to get the message out.
Foster an environment where all generations can worship and serve together.
Bridge generational gaps.
When generations unite in love and purpose, we become stronger and more effective in fulfilling our Mandate as we bring the message of faith, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit to this world.
